While Nubia's earlier attempts at smartphones might not have caught the attention of everyone, the company seems to have turned that around by getting into the development of gaming handsets, such as the Nubia Red Magic Mars which we were very impressed with during our hands-on with the device.
The company is set to launch another gaming smartphone soon in the form of the Red Magic 3, and now thanks to details confirmed by the company's general manager Ni Fei, we now know what to expect, and boy does it sound like it is shaping up to be one heck of a smartphone.
Starting with some of the base features, as expected of a phone in this day and age, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. It will also be accompanied by an eye-watering 12GB of RAM (overkill much?), and while its display size is unconfirmed, it was suggested that it will have a refresh rate higher than most gaming PCs.
We have mentioned a few times how lovely the Razer Phone's 120Hz display feels to use, so whether or not the Red Magic 3 will be able to match it or even top it remains to be seen. The Red Magic 3 is also said to be using a combination of liquid cooling and active air cooling, meaning that there could be a built-in fan to help deal with the heat.
The phone's battery will also be impressive where Ni Fei confirmed that it will be bigger than previous Red Magic devices, with some speculating that it might even reach 5,000mAh. The phone has been hinted at for an announcement in April, so do check back with us then for the details.
