The other day, Huawei announced their latest flagship smartphones the P30 and P30 Pro, but it seems that the company might have also quietly announced a third handset in the P30 lineup. This comes in the form of the Huawei P30 Lite and believe it or not, this is actually not the first time we've heard about this phone.
Ahead of the P30 and P30 Pro's announcement, some specs were leaked and in that leak, there was also a mention of a third Huawei handset that was rumored to be the P30 Lite. It turns out the rumors were true and given the use of "Lite" in its name, it won't be as powerful as the other P30 handsets.
The P30 Lite will feature the use of the Kirin 710 chipset (versus the Kirin 980), 4-6GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage. While it might seem like this is a mid-range version of the P30, Huawei has opted to equip the phone with a triple camera setup on the back. This includes a 24MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. There will also be a 32MP front-facing camera along with a 6.15-inch Full HD+ display.
In terms of pricing, the Huawei P30 Lite is priced at CAD450 which makes it a lot cheaper than its higher-end siblings. Pre-orders are now live so head on over to Huawei's website if you'd like to get your hands on the device. Huawei Canada is also hosting a special promotion where if you pre-order the handset, you will be able to get the Huawei Band 3 Pro for free.
