Pocophone F1 Lite could be an even cheaper version of the Pocophone

Last year Xiaomi made waves when their Poco brand launched the Pocophone F1. The handset was initially launched with a price tag of $350, and given that it used hardware like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (usually found in higher-end smartphones) and came close to beating all the flagship smartphones in a blind camera test, it was a downright steal.

Now it seems that the company could be working on an even more budget version of the handset in the form of the Pocophone F1 Lite. This is based on recent benchmark sightings where a device calling itself the "Xiaomi POCO F1 Lite" was discovered.

The device in question seems to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, suggesting that it could be marketed as a mid-ranger. The benchmarks also reveal other specs such as 4GB of RAM and the use of Android 9.0 Pie. So far apart from this benchmark, there has been no word on whether the company could be looking to launch new variants of the Pocophone F1.

Many are no doubt anticipating the Pocophone F2 (or whatever Xiaomi wants to call it), which based on speculation will most likely be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. In any case, it's probably best to take this with a grain of salt for now but hopefully, we'll have some official details to share in the near future.

In the meantime, the Pocophone F1 is currently on sale with a 29% discount where it is priced at $310 in case you're looking for an extremely value-for-money handset.
