One of the ways that users can stream content on their mobile devices and computers to a TV wirelessly, it would be to use a Chromecast device. This is an accessory made by Google that plugs into your TV's HDMI port and essentially mirrors what's on your phone, tablet, or computer on your TV.
Now according to a report from 9to5Google, they have heard from their sources that Google is working on a next-gen Chromecast Ultra device. We suppose we can't be too surprised that a new model could be in the works, but there is one main difference and that is apparently the new Chromecast Ultra will come with a remote control.
The report goes on to add that in terms of design, the new Chromecast Ultra will resemble the third-gen Chromecast that is currently being sold. The remote itself is also said to look like a cross between the Daydream View headset's remote and the Apple TV remote, where it will also come with a built-in microphone that lets users control Google Assistant with it.
There is no word on when the new Chromecast Ultra will be announced. Presumably it would have been announced at Google I/O 2020, but with the event having been cancelled, we're not sure when we can expect it.
