When it comes to 5G, the tech has yet to be fully rolled out across the world. In fact, it will probably be another year or so before it reaches the masses, but in the meantime, it seems that Xiaomi is not wasting any time as the company seems to be gearing up to launch its second 5G smartphone.
In an announcement made on Weibo, the company has confirmed that their upcoming smartphone has received the relevant certification it needs from the authorities over in China, suggesting that the handset could be finding its way to the Chinese market first before the rest of the world.
At the moment, not much is known about the handset, but some are speculating that it will most likely be the Xiaomi Mi 9S 5G. As it stands, Xiaomi already has a 5G smartphone in the form of the Mi Mix 3 5G, so the launch of this device would mark the second 5G smartphone in their portfolio.
As for the specs of the Mi 9S 5G, word has it that it will most likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset and come with a 4,000mAh battery. Other than that, it's really anyone's guess at this point in time. Either way, we should have more details soon so do check back with us later for more updates.
