New OnePlus 7T, 7T Pro details revealed along with the official launch date

We have been hearing quite a few rumors regarding the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, both of which are expected to be the company's second flagship of 2019. The only question we have is when will the phone be officially announced? Turns out, it could be launched in less than a month.

This is according to leakster Ishan Agarwal who recently tweeted that the phone is expected to be officially announced in Delhi, India on the 26th of September. We're not sure if there are other launch events planned for other parts of the world, like the US, so there's a chance that the dates could be slightly different to make up for the time difference.

OnePlus 7T leak reveals an impressive triple camera upgrade

Agarwal also shared what seems to be the complete specs for the OnePlus 7T. As expected, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset. It is also expected to sport a 6.55-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will also come with 8GB of RAM, 128GB and 256GB storage options, a 48MP + 16MP + 12MP triple camera combo on the back, and a 16MP front-facing camera which will be housed in a smaller notch than the one used on the OnePlus 7. The phone will also feature a 3800mAh battery and will be available in Frosted Silver and Have Blue

As for the OnePlus 7T Pro, the details shared are still tentative at this point. It's not yet clear if the OnePlus 7T Pro will retain the SD855 or use the newer SD855+, but the phone will have a 4080mAh battery which is slightly larger than the original's.

We don't see any reason why the OnePlus 7T Pro wouldn't be upgraded to the newer SD855+ chipset. If OnePlus does give it the same SD855, there would be no real compelling reason for anyone to buy the 7T Pro over the original 7 Pro. That phone is still considered to be one of the best devices of 2019 and wouldn't be overshadowed by a newer variant simply because it features a different camera module design on the back of the phone and a 2% bump in battery capacity. That being said, OnePlus 7T Pro may have a few more details still hidden away which may make it a lot more compelling than its predecessor.

Needless to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but Agarwal has been right many times in the past, so it stands to believe that this could be accurate. Either way, check back with us on the 26th of September to see if the rumors pan out.
