Huawei was one of the first few smartphone companies to introduce a smartphone with a triple-lens camera setup on the back. It seemed excessive at that time, but it was a trend that soon caught on and now more companies are doing it. In fact, there are rumors that this year's iPhones could adopt a similar design.
Since now everyone is doing it, Huawei has lost a bit of their competitive edge, but they could regain that with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. This is thanks to an alleged leaked promotional image in which it shows the upcoming smartphone sporting a quad-camera setup on its back. The design of the phone is in line with what we had previously seen, where instead of a square cutout on the back, Huawei has opted for a circular cutout (a trend that seems to be picking up).
Exactly what the camera configurations are is unclear, but the grainy image clearly shows a quad camera setup. It also shows part of the front of the phone where there is a massive notch and also we can't be sure if it's the angle, but it looks like it has slightly more dramatic curves on the side compared to before.
This, again, is in line with a previously leaked photo which showed that Huawei could be opting for a deeper curve with the display. Take this with a grain of salt, but we expect Huawei should be officially announcing something in the coming month or two.
