Last month, Samsung officially confirmed that they plan to relaunch the Samsung Galaxy Fold in September. The company stopped short of actually providing any concrete release dates, but now according to new reports, it seems that it could be arriving in the early part of September.
In a report from Yonhap News, they claim that sources inside of Samsung have told them that Samsung is actually planning on releasing the Galaxy Fold on the 6th of September. The company is said to be in talks with carriers in South Korea and are aiming for that date of release.
Note that this is only for South Korea and we still have no idea when the phone will be released in other parts of the world. Samsung has yet to officially announce anything yet, so it's probably best to take it with a grain of salt. That being said, the pre-registration page for the Galaxy Fold did recently go live which seems to suggest that it could indeed be coming soon.
The new version of the Galaxy Fold is expected to feature some design changes. It won't be anything drastic that changes the overall design, but rather it will come with changes that will reinforce the build quality of the phone to address some of the issues that were discovered when the phone was sent out for early review.
We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for a stateside launch, so do check back with us in the coming weeks for more updates.
