Huawei Mate 30 likely to be announced on September 19th

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro wasn't a device that officially came to the US, but it was amazing nonetheless. It rocked the latest hardware and a phenomenal triple camera system co-developed by Leica. Even now, it holds up to the competition and is worth a look.

But it's about time for a successor to launch, and we're excited for the Mate 30 Pro and its family members. The latest report from Russian site hi-tech.mail.ru claims that the device series will be announced on September 19th, which is just a hair over a month away. We're likely to see an upgraded camera system with a 5x zoom lens and the latest Kirin 990 processor.

Now we don't expect to see it launch in the US, as Huawei's relations with the country are still terse at best. Huawei is once again allowed to use Android, but we don't see the trade restrictions being fully lifted anytime soon. So we will have to settle for international devices that usually work great on our US networks.

Keep an eye out for more news on the Huawei Mate 30 series and we'll hopefully see another great device from the company!
