New renders show off the Nokia 7 Plus and budget-minded Nokia 1

Just a few days ago, a report revealed that HMD Global sold approximately 44 million Nokia smartphones in Q4 2017. This puts the company just outside of the top 10, and ahead of other prominent companies including OnePlus, Google, and HTC.

2018 could shape up to be even more impressive, as the company is gearing up to launch a new lineup of devices in the near future. This brings us to the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 1, and recent renders that have leaked.

The renders reveal that the Nokia 1 will feature a regular aspect ratio (16:9), along with some rather large and hideous bezels. However, given the way this device looks, it's no surprise that it is destined for the budget market.

The next device leaked is much more beautiful and comes in the form of the Nokia 7 Plus. This larger device will fall in line with other devices that have been joining the trend of including an 18:9 display. Powering the device is said to be the Snapdragon 660 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM.

The renders themselves reveal that Nokia and HMD Global will be joining the Android One program, and the Nokia 7 Plus could be the first Nokia device to do so. As for color options, it appears that the Nokia 7 Plus will at least come in Pearl White and a black variant (which looks brown in the render).

Unfortunately, we aren't really as to when these two new devices from Nokia will be launching, but I'm hoping to see the 7 Plus launch sooner rather than later. Be sure to let us know what you think about these renders in the comments below.
