Google to introduce Android Go phones at MWC

Back in December, Google announced Android Go, an ultra-lightweight platform for budget devices. Android Go is targeting the same devices as all those "Go" Google apps: phones with 512MB to 1GB of RAM.

We haven't heard much about Android Go since the announcement. Several Google apps have received the "Go" treatment in that time. Google is finally ready to show off some Android Go devices at MWC next week. The devices will be running Android Oreo Go, but we don't know anything about the manufacturers yet.

Google also said they will have some news about Android One to share. With the addition of Android Go, Android One seems a little redundant. Android One is targeting a clean stock Android that can still run most apps, while Android Go is very lightweight and can only run special apps.
