Usually the most efficient routes to drive on involve tolls. Sometimes this is unavoidable if you're trying to avoid taking the longer route, but how much will that toll cost you? If you live in a particular area long enough, chances are you know how much tolls could cost, but what if you're new to an area?
If you'd rather not be caught by surprise, then you might want to update Waze because in the latest release for the app, it has added toll prices as one of its features. Waze already alerts users if they are taking a road that involves a toll, and with this update, it will also let them know how much the toll could cost, as you can see in the screenshot below.
This means that if you're trying to decide if paying the toll is worth the money to shave some time off your drive, you'll now have the information to make a more well-informed decision. The update should already be live but we should point out that this new feature is only available to those living in the US and Canada.
If you're living in another country that also has toll roads, unfortunately, this update won't be applicable to you. We imagine that eventually it could come to your part of the world, but for now, only the US and Canada are covered.
