The Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 4G has officially been unveiled. As the name implies, the smartwatch has a lot in common (practically everything) with the original TicWatch Pro, but Mobvoi has now integrated a 4G radio so that the watch can connect to LTE networks. The good news is that Mobvoi claims that the watch can last two full days on a single charge, just like the original. For now, it looks like Mobvoi is partnering exclusively with Verizon, but it's possible that the device will be able to connect to other LTE networks as well.
The watch body measures 45.15 x 52.8 x 12.6 and features a 1.39-inch AMOLED (400×400 Pixel) display with a second FSTN LCD which allows it to dramatically reduce battery drain when activated. The watch runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 and comes with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage if you want to load it up with extra apps or music. Like the original, it has GPS and NFC which will allow you to use the TicWatch Pro 4G for mobile payments with Google Pay. Sensors include a PPG heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, e-compass, ambient light sensor and low latency off-body sensor which allows the watch to conserve even more energy.
On the durability front, Mobvoi has engineered the TicWatch Pro 4G to 810G military standards which means it can withstand temperature shock of between -30℃ to 70, operational between -20℃ to 55, 57kpa pressure, 44℃ solar radiation, 95% humidity, salt fog, sand and dust and shock resistance. It also comes with the regular IP68 rating which makes it perfect for use in the pool and swimming laps.
The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4G is launching with a $25 discount for the first two days which also includes a free TicHome Mini Google Assistant speaker. Once the promotion expires, the price for the TicWatch pro 4G will jump from $279 to $305.
