Earlier this year, when Samsung launched the Galaxy S10, they also announced that there would be a 5G version of the handset. It was later revealed that Verizon would be the exclusive carrier for the 5G version of the phone, and now it looks like they could be repeating that exercise with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
As per the rumors, there are claims that there will be a 5G version of the Note 10, and a tweet by XDA's Max Weinbach has revealed that the 5G version of the handset might end up being an exclusive to Verizon once again. It is unclear if this will be a permanent exclusive, although if it's anything like the Galaxy S10, it could eventually make its way to other carriers.
Weinbach adds that the 5G version of the phone could also come with an "enhanced 5G modem" that might not necessarily be present in non-Verizon Galaxy Note 10 5G models. We're not sure what kind of enhancements we're looking at, but presumably, it will be optimized for use on the carrier's 5G network.
The Note 10 with 5G is going to be a Verizon exclusive. It will have "enhanced 5G modem." Verizon might be domestically locking it to their network as well to promote Verizon 5G usage. Other carrier Note 10s, if they have 5G, won't have the "enhanced 5G modem."

Needless to say that you should take this with a grain of salt for now, but Samsung did confirm that the Note 10 will be launched on the 7th of August so we imagine that all the official details should be revealed then, so do check back with us next month for more updates on the Note 10's availability and features.
