Google Stadia will be launching later this year and while the concept of the platform is wonderful, the reality is that it's hard to say how many of us would actually subscribe and take advantage of the game streaming platform? Chances are some of us might be holding back because we're not sure what kind of games could be offered.
After all, if there are only a handful of lesser-known titles at launch, it would make the service less appealing as a whole. The good news is that it looks like Stadia might not have such a boring launch. According to Kotaku, multiple sources claim that Activision and Bungie's Destiny 2 will be one of the games launching on the platform.
In addition to launching on Stadia, the report also claims that a new cross-save feature will be introduced. This will allow gamers to save their progress on multiple consoles and pick up where they left off on another console.
Destiny 2 was one of the biggest games launched back in 2017 and to hear that it could be coming to Stadia is a pretty big deal. Even if you've never owned a console or a gaming computer, you'll be able to play Destiny 2 on your TV. All you'll need is a decent internet connection and a Stadia subscription.
Previously, Google demoed its Stadia platform using Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed where the demo was met with favorable reviews. We imagine that the company has probably made a lot of refinements and improvements to its service since then. Google is expected to host its first Stadia Connect event tomorrow where pricing and available games will be announced.
