The 2017 Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were removed from the Google Store earlier this week and now it looks like Best Buy is looking to clear out its remaining inventory of the Pixel 2 XL by dropping the price to $399.99. That price is still a tad bit more than the refurbished Pixel 2 XL deals we shared a few days ago, but we honestly always recommend picking up a brand new device over a refurbished smartphone when the price difference is this close.
Those who were hoping to pick up the standard Pixel 2 from Best Buy at a discounted rate appear to be out of luck. The product page has been removed and when you access the old link directly, you're greeted by text which says that the product is no longer available.
While we always love seeing amazing deals on great phones like the Pixel 2 XL, it's a bit sad to see Google removing the phone from its lineup this soon. From what we heard, the Pixel 2 lineup was pretty successful for Google, so it could be that they have burned through their inventory and decided not to put in a final production run to carry them over until the Pixel 4 makes its debut this fall.
At $400, do you think the Pixel 2 XL is a good buy compared to the new $1,000 smartphones that are flooding the market?
