The other day thanks to a leaked render, it showed off an upcoming Motorola handset with a triple camera setup on the back. What was interesting about this is how this could potentially be the first Motorola handset with a triple camera, but that might not be all the company has up its sleeves.
In a new set of renders and videos posted by Cash Karo and OnLeaks, it shows a new Motorola handset with four rear-facing cameras in tow. Assuming it's accurate, it would effectively make it Motorola's first quad camera smartphone. It also puts them on a very short list of smartphone makers who have smartphones with four cameras on its back.
In terms of its specs, the website's sources claim that it could feature a 6.2-inch display and will also use an in-display fingerprint sensor. The renders also show a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a USB-C port for charging. We're not sure what kind of hardware it could be packing, but a quad-camera setup does suggest that we could be looking at a higher-end device, so maybe the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 could be its chipset of choice.
This is quite a huge leap for Motorola to be jumping from dual cameras to a triple and quadruple camera setup within a year. There is also mention of when the phone might be announced, but it will be interesting to see what the reactions will be if and when it does become official. Until it does, it's probably best to take it with a grain of salt.
