The long-awaited Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL finally have a price. A new leak which claims to show carrier pricing for the two phones in Canada shows that the Pixel 3a will sell for $649.99 while the Pixel 3a XL will go for $799.99 Canadian dollars. Converting the prices to USD, we get $489 for the Pixel 3A and $601 for the Pixel 3A XL. For reference, the PIxel 3 wells for $999 (CAD) which converts to $751 (USD), a good $50 (USD) less than what Google charges for the Pixel 3 here in the US.
Based on these numbers, Google could list the Pixel 3a for an even $500 and the larger Pixel 3a XL for $600. While those numbers are significantly lower than what you'd pay for the standard Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, some will consider them to be quite high when you take into account the $550 price tag of the OnePlus 6T which will be significantly more powerful than the upcoming Pixel 3A devices.
Pixel 3a confirmed as Google lists device on its Store before launch
Unfortunately, these prices don't match up with the previously leaked 450 Euro price point for the Pixel 3a. While the currency conversion would roughly bring the price point to about $500 USD, European prices always include VAT which adds about 20% to the final sticker price. With VAT taken out of the equation, the European price could convert to $420.
While we know pretty much everything there is to know about the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, we still have no clue that Google plans to charge for the two phones here in the US.
