Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra leaked photos show dual front facing cameras, rear fingerprint sensor, tragically large bezels

Big bezels are quickly going the way of the dinosaur and while slim, tiny bezels are becoming common on high-end flagships, mid-range devices rarely see the same treatment. Sony's Xperia line is easily some of the worst offenders when it comes to thick, oversized bezels, so we've been curious to see what their new 2018 line would bring.

After the model numbers for the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra recently leaked (H4213, H4233), actual hands-on photos of the device running Android 8.0 Oreo are now following suit. While the phone is showing some signs of promise — like a rear mounted fingerprint sensor — the front of the device is looking tragically dated. Thick, large bezels can be found on the front of the phone and it looks very reminiscent of the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra.

You'll find the same front facing LED flash on the front for selfies, but there's now a new dual front facing camera setup. It'll be interesting to see how Sony plans on leveraging this feature but for the most part, it's business as usual for Sony. Other specs include a 6-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.

With that, we're cautiously optimistic to see what the rest of the lineup will hold for 2018. What do you guys think of the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra so far?
