Things are not looking great for Huawei in the US market. After AT&T dropped plans to work with Huawei around CES, Verizon is now following in their footsteps. Verizon has dropped all plans to sell Huawei phones, including the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. This decision was made after being under pressure from the US government.
The government's concern is about Chinese spying. However, they don't block Huawei devices completely. You can still buy a Mate 10 and use it on AT&T or Verizon. The devices are just not available through the carriers. The major concern comes with 5G networks, which will be used for everything from phones to cars. If someone gets access to that network, they would have access to a lot of stuff.
Huawei fans won't be happy about this news, but it's not a complete ban on Huawei products. You'll just have to buy devices online for a little more money.
