The big Holiday buying season is a couple of weeks in the rearview mirror now. The ultra-affordable Google Home Mini was a popular gift (even for old folks). New users have had plenty of time to familiarize themselves with the device. Even for those of us who have used Google Assistant on our phones, the Google Home is a brand new experience.
So now that you've had time to get used to living with an always-listening AI assistant, what do you find yourself using it for the most? Everyone has different needs when it comes to these devices. Busy people tend to love the calendar features and reminders. People that do a lot of cooking like the unit conversions and timers. Kids love to ask silly questions and play games.
Personally, I'm a big fan of grocery list apps. I use an app called OurGroceries. I can create separate lists for the stores I shop at and tell Google to add items to whichever list I need. The only downside is the command is a little long. I have to say "ask OurGroceries to add milk to Target." But after you use it for a while it becomes second nature.
I want to know what commands you use on a daily basis. After the novelty of asking "how old is [insert celeb name]" wore off, what commands have you continued to use? What commands do you find to be the most valuable in your daily life? Let me know in the comments below!
