Samsung drops prices on Galaxy S10 series

Samsung took to their Unpacked 2020 event to launch the new Galaxy S20 series. The devices have some of the best specs on the market, including 120hz displays, a wide array of cameras including 64MP telephotos and a 108MP main camera on the Ultra, and more. Thus the Galaxy S20 starts at $999, the S20+ at $1,199, and the S20 Ultra at a whopping $1,399. They're extremely pricey phones and may not be accessible to most people.

So at the end of the presentation, the company announced that the previous year's devices are sticking around rather than being replaced as well as getting a price drop. The Samsung Galaxy S10e is dropping to just $599, the Galaxy S10 to $749, and the Galaxy S10+ to $849.

It's not the biggest price drop for year old models, but you can save $150 getting last year's top of the line device over the base Galaxy S20, and the solid Galaxy S10e is priced just right in the mid-range category despite rocking last year's top of the line specs. And if we see a sale anytime soon, it'll be a great way to get into a good phone on a budget.
