MOBA Games on Android that we’re currently addicted to

No matter how much you try to deny it, mobile gaming is very much part of our lives now. As a matter of fact, figures from GamingScan tell us that this 2020, the mobile segment is speculated to reach $95 billion in revenues, so it definitely is a strong indicator that mobile gaming is here to stay and take over the world in the next few years. And honestly, it isn't a bad thing, because when you come to think of it, we have mobile games to thank for every time we need to blow off some steam during our downtime.

In recent years, we've seen mobile gaming grow even more in prominence because of the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games available on the platform now. If you ask us, we're betting it's because these games are the closest, we could get to playing League of Legends or Dota 2 on our smartphones (for now). And you also have to admit, there's really something so thrilling about working with other players in destroying your opponent's base! Plus, not to mention, it's really handy!

So, whether you're an avid gamer or just trying to dip your toes into the water, there's a MOBA game for you. Here, we present to you our top picks. Check them out!

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is one of the most popular MOBA games, especially in Southeast Asia, and it's easy to see why. Released by Shanghai Moonton Technology in 2016, the game quickly won acclaim for a variety of reasons.

One, it's very easy to play. The game mechanics are not that complex, and you'll easily learn the nooks and crannies of it in no time! Two, it's got the cool characters. We mean, in terms of aesthetics, story, and abilities, it offers so much variety. Plus, Moontoon adds new ones every now and then, so there's always something to look forward to! And lastly, matchmaking is pretty quick in this game. You'll know why when you try it now.

Vainglory

We'll give it to Vainglory when it comes to good graphics. Kudos to Super Evil Megacorp for putting in so much time and effort into this one! Those who are big on character and environment design are surely going to get addicted to this game. Vainglory also offers several modes, including 3v3 and 5v5.

To be fair, Vainglory started with only a few features, but it does get an update on a regular basis, which means its only way is up!

Arena of Valor

Okay, there are so many things to like about Arena of Valor, so much so that we don't even know where to start! Developed by TiMi, the game offers something fresh to the MOBA genre. It's no surprise it has profited so much since its release in 2018!

First, Arena of Valor has various modes, including Grand Battle (5v5), Valley Skirmish (3v3), and Abyssal Clash (5v5). There's also the Death Match mode, which, we might as well say the most kickass part of the game. Here, there are no lanes, towers, and bases. Unlike many MOBAs, your goal here is just to kill heroes from different factions. And the thing that makes it more intense is that you can encounter them anywhere!

Second, as of writing, there are about 85 characters. That's a lot compared to other MOBA games we've already mentioned. That means you have a lot of choices to choose from!

Onmyoji Arena

Do you love all things Japanese? If your answer is yes, Onmyoji Arena is surely gonna be your go-to MOBA game. And in case you didn't know, it was developed and published by NetEase, which means it's basically a spin-off of the JRPG franchise of the same name.

For its sleek art style, NetEase took inspiration from Kyoto in the Heian era. Fans of anime will also take delight in the fact that it features the voice cast from the Onmyoji series.

As for the gameplay, we're glad to let you know Onmyoji Arena has a 3v3v3 mode, which is a breath of fresh air in the realm of MOBA. Plus, it also has a clean interface that makes everything seem so smooth and easy to play!

There are still tons of MOBA games out in the market, but for now, these are the ones that caught our interest in terms of originality, aesthetics, and playability. Download each one now and get a feel of what we've talked about!
