Google’s Pixel 4 event could take place on October 15

We have been hearing a lot of rumors about the Google Pixel 4 smartphones, but there has never really been any formal announcement of when the phones will be announced. A previously leaked Verizon roadmap suggested October, and now thanks to a new leak, it looks like an October launch is looking more likely.

The latest leak comes from leakster Evan Blass who shared images of what appears to be a promotional image for the Pixel 4. In the promo image, it shows a date on the screen of the phone which mentions the 15th of October, leading to speculation that is when the phones will be announced.

That being said, an October launch isn't entirely out of the question either. The Pixel smartphones have all taken place in October in the past, so for the Pixel 4 to launch on the 15th of October doesn't really come as a surprise. The Pixel 4 should be a pretty exciting handset as it has sort of been confirmed that the phones could finally take advantage of Google's motion-sensing Project Soli.

We have also heard that it could be sporting a new display with a 90Hz refresh rate and more recently, a leaked trailer suggested that it could be capable of astrophotography. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully Google will start sending out the official invites soon.
