Huawei P40 series still on track for March 2020 launch

Huawei has had a pretty tough 2019 where the Huawei Mate 30 series was the first Huawei handset to launch without Google Play Services. To make matters worse, it seems that there are some delays with the handset's availability, where it seems that it is still not quite as widely available just yet.

This has led to some wondering about the Huawei's next smartphone, the Huawei P40 series, and how this delay could impact it. Would Huawei still want to launch the P40 series in the early part of the year, or would they prefer to delay the launch to allow the Mate 30 Pro to generate more sales?

Turns out that despite the delays, Huawei apparently still plans to forge ahead with a launch of the P40 series in March 2020. This is according to a report from The Information which claims that the handset is still very much on track. That being said, it is unclear as to whether or not the P40 series will come with Google Play Services.

As it stands, Huawei is still on the US government's Entity List which means that they aren't allowed to do business with US companies. Whether or not they'll be able to come to some kind of agreement by then remains to be seen, and if not, how much this could impact Huawei.
