Google reveals its 12-game lineup for the Stadia launch

With the November 19th launch of Stadia quickly approaching, Google has finally unveiled which games users will be able to play when the service goes live. In total, the launch-day lineup for Stadia will only feature 12 games. With titles like Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2, the list doesn't contain any real surprises, but we're sure that quite a few of you were hoping for at least two dozen or more titles from day one. While Google has shared the list of games that will be available, they have yet to reveal pricing for each title. A few of these games are over a year old and should sell for at least half of their original $60 price tags.

Those craving a broader game selection before jumping in should note that Stadia will be getting an additional 14 games before the end of 2019. Google has not revealed which games those are or exactly when they will be added to the Stadia catalog, but we should be seeing at least two new games per week between November 19th and December 31. That's certainly commendable, but the Stadia team will need to deliver a lot more if they truly want to go head-to-head with PlayStation and Xbox.
