At the moment, OnePlus' current lineup of flagship smartphones come with a 30W Warp Charge feature which is basically the company's take on fast charging technology, but there is now additional evidence to suggest that this could more than double with the company's future phones, like the OnePlus 8T.
This was initially posted on Twitter by user Lavin Amarnani (the tweet has since been deleted) where in new strings discovered in the OnePlus Engineering Mode app, it mentions an upcoming feature called Super Warp Charger that will offer up 65W charging, which like we said is more than double that of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.
The 30W Warp Charge feature currently charges at 5V/6A, and XDA Developers speculates that the jump to 65W could mean that we might look at a phone that charges at 10V/6.5A. What's interesting about this discovery is that it is actually not the first time we're hearing about OnePlus phones getting an upgraded fast charger.
Earlier last month, there was a report that claimed that OnePlus could be looking to introduce a 65W fast charging solution that would be similar to OPPO's SuperVOOC 65W charging technology. Given that both companies have been known to share technology with each other, it shouldn't really come as a surprise. Whether or not it'll be debut in the OnePlus 8T or the company's 2021 smartphones remains to be seen.
