These days, smartphone tech has kind of plateaued in terms of performance. While newer chipsets are indeed more powerful than their predecessors, their gains aren't exactly leaps and bounds better. This is why smartphone makers are coming up with new ways to make their devices stand out.
In the case with Lenovo, it seems that one of the features of the company's upcoming Legion gaming smartphone is an insanely fast 90W charging. This is thanks to a series of images shared on Weibo by a leakster that teases the new feature, so we can't be 100% sure if this is the real deal.
That being said, fast charging isn't exactly new, but companies have been working on improving the speeds. Oppo recently announced its latest smartphone in the form of the Oppo Ace2 that comes with 65W fast charging, so if the posters are accurate, the Lenovo Legion smartphone will trump it in terms of fast charging by quite a huge margin.
We had heard rumors of the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone back in February. It was suggested back then that the handset could be the first gaming smartphone to offer up 5G connectivity. There is still no word on when the phone will be announced, but we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for it.
