If you're the type of person who spends a lot of time outdoors, there is a good chance you might be going stir-crazy with being stuck at home due to the coronavirus. Thankfully with technology, there are endless ways to keep ourselves entertained. In fact, if you're interested, Google has announced that they'll be offering gamers a free two-month trial for its Stadia Pro service.
For those who are unfamiliar, Google Stadia is a game streaming service that Google launched last year. The base service itself is free, but if you wanted to be able to stream games in a higher quality along with access to more features, you would need to pay a subscription for Stadia Pro. According to Google:
"We're facing some of the most challenging times in recent memory. Keeping social distance is vital, but staying home for long periods can be difficult and feel isolating. Video games can be a valuable way to socialize with friends and family when you're stuck at home, so we're giving gamers in 14 countries free access to Stadia Pro for two months. This is starting today and rolling out over the next 48 hours."
Note that Stadia is not like Netflix, where a subscription grants you unlimited access to all of its content. You will still need to purchase the games you want to play, but with a free two-month trial for Stadia Pro, you'll get to enjoy some of the other perks. Google does point out that gamers who subscribe to Stadia Pro will get access to nine games right out of the gate, including GRID, Destiny 2, and Thumper, just to name a few.
If you're interested in taking Google up on its offer, just head on over to its Stadia website to sign up.
