Sprint is lined up to sell the Pixel smartphones

In the past, if you wanted to get your hands on a Pixel smartphone, you'd either have to buy it at full price from Google or a third-party retailer, or you could get it through an installment plan from Verizon. Verizon has been more or less the exclusive carrier for the Pixel phones for the past few years, but that is set to change soon.

According to a report from Android Police, they have managed to get their hands on what appears to be evidence that suggests that Sprint could start selling Pixel smartphones in the future as well. With the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL launching next week, it does seem to be the perfect time for Sprint to start selling Pixel smartphones.

This comes on the heels of another report from back in April where we learned that T-Mobile could also start to sell Pixel smartphones. This would leave AT&T as being the only major carrier in the US that may not sell the Pixel handsets but based on what we're seeing, we wouldn't be surprised if they were to start selling them in the near future as well.

We should mention in case it wasn't already known to you, that despite Verizon being the only carrier to officially sell the Pixel phones, you can still buy the phone from Google and use them on other compatible networks. The only difference is that you will need to buy the phones outright instead of opting to buy it through an installment plan.

Take this report with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully, we'll have more details about carrier availability next week during Google's Pixel 3a and 3a XL announcement.
