The long-awaited Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro has finally landed, delivering everything you'd want from a flagship smartphone, undercutting most other budget-friendly flagship devices.
The phone has been dubbed the "Flagship Killer 2.0" for good reason. On the font, the Redmi K20 Pro features a beautiful 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display which stretches edge-to-edge thanks to the pop-up 20MP selfie camera. Users will also be treated to an in-display fingerprint sensor and an exquisite electric design on the rear glass panel. On the back, Xiaomi's equipped the phone with three camera sensors, a 48MP sensor for the main camera, 13MP sensor paired with an ultra-wide lens and an 8MP sensor with a 2X telephoto lens. Users will be treated to 4K video capture at 60 frames per second in addition to slow-motion video at 960fps.
On the inside, the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with 6GB of 8GB of RAM and storage options which range between 64GB and 256GB. Keeping the lights on is a 4,000 mAh battery which supports 27W charging which should be able to deliver a 58% charge in 30 minutes or a full charge in 74 minutes.
Since Xiaomi is going after a younger crowd with the Redmi K20 Pro, the device will be fine-tuned for gaming with its Game Turbo 2.0 mode which will boost its processor, WiFi, and 4G performance to ensure a lag-free gaming experience. Xiaomi is also delivering an add-on gamepad made exclusively for the Redmi K20 which costs roughly $26.
As for pricing, Xiaomi will be selling the Redmi K20 Pro in China for CNY2,499 ($361 USD) with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with the most expensive option with 8GB of RAM and 254GB of storage costing a mere CNY2,999 ($434 USD). The phone will likely never make it to the US, but Xiaomi will likely be bringing the phone to Europe within the next few months.
