Here’s everything Samsung announced at their Unpacked 2019 event

And just like that, Samsung's Unpacked 2019 event for the first half of the year has come to end. It was a particularly eventful event as we saw Samsung announce a bunch of new products, ranging from smartphones to wearables. In case you missed our coverage from earlier, here's a quick recap on everything that was announced at the event.

BONUS: We captured photos with the Samsung Galaxy S10 cameras. The results are disappointing.

Samsung Galaxy S10 family

Samsung officially took the wraps off their new Galaxy S10 lineup. This included the Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S10+, and the Galaxy S10e, with the latter positioned as being the most affordable of the Galaxy S10 lineup. Apart from differences in display size and cameras, they will all be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets (or Exynos, depending on your region).

5G Samsung Galaxy S10

In addition to the "regular" Galaxy S10 handsets, Samsung also took the wraps off the 5G version of the Galaxy S10. The phone will feature similar hardware to the rest of the Galaxy S10 lineup, but the main difference would be that it will come with 5G support and also a larger battery that will hopefully offset any battery drain that 5G might have on the handset.

It will also be launching as an exclusive to Verizon in the first half of the year, but will eventually find its way to other carriers.

Samsung Galaxy Fold

As per the speculation, the Unpacked event also saw Samsung officially announce their foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Featuring a 7.3-inch display when unfolded, the device will feature a display on the inside and on the outside, with the cover display sporting a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED screen. Unfortunately, it comes with a pretty hefty price tag of $1,980 which we imagine could hinder adoption of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit

In addition to announcing new phones, Samsung also announced a couple of new wearables. One is the Galaxy Watch Active which is a smartwatch that also comes with a bunch of fitness and health trackers, including a blood pressure monitor, and also tools designed to help the wearer reduce their stress levels.

The Galaxy Fit, on the other hand, has been designed as a fitness tracker. It will not be as robust compared to the Galaxy Watch Active, but if you're only after fitness tracking, then this be it. The device will come with the standard fitness trackers which include the ability to track your sleep and also a heart-rate sensor. It also boasts a battery that will last for a week before needing a recharge.

Samsung Galaxy Buds

Last but not least are a pair of true wireless earbuds in the form of the Galaxy Buds. These are earbuds featuring AKG sound and also dual microphones in each earbud. Samsung claims that this will help deliver better audio quality during calls. The earbuds are also rated for around 5-6 hours of battery life, and will also feature a wireless charging case that will provide an additional 7 hours. It can also be recharged by taking advantage of the Galaxy S10's reverse wireless charging feature.
