It was only recently that the Samsung Galaxy Fold was released. The smartphone was originally supposed to be released earlier this year, but due to issues regarding its build quality, Samsung ultimately delayed the launch of the handset while they worked to sort it out.
Interestingly enough, it seems that Samsung might not be wasting any time with its successor. According to Korean publication, The Bell, it seems that the Galaxy Fold 2 could actually be launching in April 2020. This means that the phone will be launching about half a year after the original Galaxy Fold was released.
We're not sure why Samsung is in such a rush to release the Galaxy Fold 2, but perhaps due to the issues with the phone, the company could be hoping that a newer model could help focus the market's attention on the brand new features rather than the problems plaguing the original model.
At the moment, it is unclear as to what the phone could look like, but we have seen a couple of patents that is giving us some ideas. We have heard, though, that the Galaxy Fold 2 could actually be priced cheaper, a rumor that we are hoping will be true. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we'll have more details to share in the coming months.
