When the Pixelbook was announced at the Pixel 2 launch event, the device took a lot of folks (including us here at Phandroid) by surprise. Google announced that there would be three combinations of the device made available, but only two of those variants have been available for purchase until today.
The "mac-daddy" version of the Pixelbook is now available through Google's online storefront and includes an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The price will definitely surprise some folks, as it starts at $1,649, but for a limited time you can save $100 and get it for $1,549.
On top of saving $100, Google is throwing in a free Google Home to anyone who purchases any Pixelbook between now and December 31st. The good thing with this deal is that you shouldn't have to worry about receiving a discount code after the Pixelbook arrives, as Google requires you to add both the Pixelbook and Home to your cart and the discount will be automatically applied.
If you're in the market for a high-end Chromebook, you can't get anymore high-end than this Pixelbook, so if you want to learn more about the device, hit the button below.
