The Pocophone F2 Pro has just been unveiled, packing in all the tech you'd expect from a respectable 2020 flagship smartphone. The only thing that's a bit off is the price: $499.
That's right, the new Pocophone F2 Pro is half the price of the cheapest Samsung Galaxy S20, even though the phone sports an insane spec sheet. The main attraction is the Snapdragon 865 SoC, but you also get a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a quad-camera with a 64MP main sensor, 13MP ultra-wide, 5MP telephoto, and 2MP depth sensor. They've also thrown in a 20MP pop-up selfie camera (this means there's no ridiculous notch or hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera to interrupt the gorgeous display) and you also get a 4700 mAh battery that will keep the phone powered up through a very long day.
The base model comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but you have the option of upgrading to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as well. The phone is running on Android 10 with Xiaomi's stripped-down version of MIUI for Poco which makes the skin lighter, faster and features a customizable app drawer rather than forcing all your apps onto the home screen.
The Pocophone F2 Pro is certainly not as feature-rich as a $1000 Samsung Galaxy S20, but it's certainly a steal when compared to the Oneplus 8 and TCL 10 Pro which sell for $699 and $450 respectively. The phone is available in white, gray and blue, giving you the option to choose the color that perfectly matches your style.
