If you're in the market for a new phone and don't want to deal with the stupid software offered by other OEM's, look no further than a Nexus device. Sure, neither the Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P are being officially updated to Android P, but there's still hope.
Amazon's deal of the day is for refurbished devices, including the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. Currently, you can find the Nexus 5X for as low as $141, while the 6P is priced as low as $220.
These are certified refurbished, which holds a bit more clout than just buying one used. The savings offered by the 5X is just a few bucks, but the 6P is the better deal as you can save more than $100.
As for what Google plans to do with these devices, the future is bleak. These won't be updated to Android P, but Google has promised to continue updating these with security updates.
On the bright side, you can head over to XDA and find a working ROM if you don't want to deal with Google's shenanigans. It's also likely that Android P ROMs will find their way to these devices once it has been officially released.
