Samsung confirms Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event for February

If you recall, a few days ago, there was a leak that suggested that Samsung could be looking to host an Unpacked event in February. For those unfamiliar, Samsung's Unpacked event is usually when the company announces new products, and in this case, the new product in question is most likely going to be the Galaxy S20.

It looks like the leak was spot on because Samsung has since confirmed that they will be hosting the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event on the 11th of February next month. The company has also since released an accompanying teaser video which seems to hint at some potential devices that will be announced.

As you can see in the video below, the "A" in the word "Galaxy" has been replaced with rectangular/square shapes. We imagine that there is probably some significance to this where one could indicate the Galaxy S20 flagship smartphone, and the other could be an indication of the next-gen Galaxy Fold handset.

In case you missed the rumors, we have heard that the next-gen Galaxy Fold (or at least another model in the lineup) could take some inspiration from the Motorola Razr, where it will sport a clamshell-like shape with a foldable display on the inside. This will be a departure from the current Galaxy Fold which is a smartphone that unfolds to a tablet and back again.

Either way, this is just speculation on our part, but mark the date down on your calendars and check back with us then for more updates.
